As expected, Exiles did not suffer unduly to register their first win of the season against an improved but still weak Marsaxlokk side. The first session saw Exiles race to a three goal lead courtesy to a hat trick by Cousin with Bartolocci replying to close the session 3-1.

The second session was a rout for Exiles who scored four goals without reply with Pace Lupi, Julian Rizzo Naudi and the irrepressible Cousin again in the mix. The third session continued previous patterns with Exiles winning 5-2 courtesy of more Cousin and Rizzo Naudi goals. Marsaxlokk managed to score twice through Razzi to regain some respectability. The final session was another personal show for Cousin who netted another three goals to bring his tally to 11 and a huge win for Exiles.

Cousin's 11 goals in one match is an all-time record for any player in the waterpolo league in a single match; the previous record was 10 netted by (Cocci) Aquilina, of Sliema.
