Sirens Ritter Sports 13 vs Exiles Jet Services 12

(1-4)(2-1)(5-4)(5-3)

Sirens went back to the top of the standings, together with Sliema, although the two teams have a game more than the two teams below them.

The St Paul's Bay side had to sweat it out till the end, to emerge victorious, as Exiles produced stiff opposition, before bowing out late in the final quarter.

Exiles had an auspicious start, going on to a good 4-1 lead after the opening session.

It was Mercieca who started to pull Sirens back in the second period, but Cousin converted a penalty for Exiles, as they led 5-3 at the interval.

Goals were then pouring in after the break, as Sirens drew level, but Exiles went back in front, to hold their advantage, at 9-8, with a session to go.

Best player for Exiles was Aurelien Cousin with 4 goals and C. Mercieca for Sirens.

Sirens finally took the lead in the last session with Revaz and Calleja fouled out for Exiles; it was Exiles who tied the score on three occasions, before Privitera finally drove home Sirens' winner, late in the match, with Exiles unlucky not to have gained anything from the game.
