San Giljan 10 vs Exiles 6

San Giljan marked their first outing in this summer's BOV League with victory over a resilient Exiles team.

With some fine-tuning, especially in man-ups, the Saints could give the likes of Sliema and Neptunes a good run for their money. The impressive Jugoslav Vascovic and Boris Popovic gave a good account of themselves yesterday.

Exiles lost the game in the first session when they were had no response to the Saints 4-0!

At 4-0 down no-one gave Exiles a chance but they hit back admirably and could have gone 5-4 up had it not been for the post. But, Popovic scored a brace in the third session for Marco Risso's side and that paved the way for the Saints' victory.
